These are challenging and scary times. My intention, when writing and recording these songs, was to help kids develop the empathy, self care, and social skills that we all need in order to stay safe and healthy during this pandemic. I hope you find that the songs are as upbeat and fun as usual, but to be perfectly honest, I found this a sad and difficult album (EP?) to make. Students and teachers have gotten used to Code Red Drills so that we'd know what to do if a violent intruder enters the school. Now they have to get used to wearing masks, staying 6 feet (or more) apart from each other at all times, unable to share handshakes or hugs with their friends and teachers. It's just sad. However, my belief is that with empathy and diligence, we will not only come out of this with our health intact, but also with a new found appreciation of our health and time together.

And a special note to teachers, bus drivers, custodians, clerks, and everyone else who works at schools and day cares - THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!
